I tend to fly by the seat of my pants, trusting the moment and throwing caution to the wind. Somewhere between his careful planning and my adventurous spirit, we found balance.
Over the past two years, what started as messages and long distance first dates turned into a partnership built on laughter, trust, and choosing each other every single day.
When he proposed, it was supposed to be at sunset on the lake at his parent's house. Instead, a storm rolled in. My mom was leaving the next day, and rather than wait for perfect weather, he chose the perfect moment. On the dock, with wind in the air, waves on the lake, and both of our parents there, he asked me to marry him.
